Puddledock is good fun for sure, not fishing like it should be at the moment but its still warming up, some fish are spawning and the weather hasnt settled down yet.

Birds green sounds like it fits your bill exactly, plenty of big carp and plenty of action on the float i think too. Never been myself but plenty of members here have.

Went to Puddledock (snake Lake) yesterday with me the my old man. Lost count of how many roach we had, lots of small carp all taken on a float with double red maggot. I left a rod out with a smelly fishy boilie and had one carp to just under double figures, and (here is one for you shadow) lost one at the net was a good mid double mirror fish but the hook pulled.
All the roach and small carp we had was a rod length out. Fished where the oxygen pump is on the snake lake.
Good sport here to be had.

Nice one Burdy! Never got on with the snake lake and even the bailiff said its not fishing as well as road but sounds like you did better on there than we did on road. I had 8 carp out a few weeks back, 7 were under 2lb and the last was about 3lb so perhaps snake lake is picking up. Never knew about the oxygen pump so ill look for that if i go on snake lake Very Happy I tend to stick to road lake and go on wood if i cant get on road comfortably. It also seems so strange for them to keep big carp in snake lake as thats really the match lake but ive heard it happen and you're case is proof enough that it does happen!

Good stuff anyway, when the wind calms down i hope to get back over there myself but so far its not looking good for this week Sad
